New Delhi, Feb 9 Leader of Opposition (LoP) in Rajya Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge on Thursday expressed disappointment after several of his words made during his Wednesday’s speech in the Upper House were expunged, and urged Chairman Jagdeep Dhankar to reconsider his decision on the same.
Raising the matter in the Upper House, the Congress president said, “In my speech there was nothing ‘unparliamentary’ as I think I had said as per the rules and procedure. But, despite of that six of my words were expunged. I request you to look into it again.”
He added,”If the Chairman had any doubt on some words, he could have asked about that with him.”
“Ultimate defender of the LOP is the chairman, ” said Dhankar after Kharge’s remarks in the Upper House.
