In a Development of far reaching consequences and affects on the situation it is learnt that the Top intelligence officers from India and Pakistan held secret talks in Dubai city of UAE in January in a new effort to calm military tension over the disputed Himalayan region of Kashmir, people with close knowledge of the matter have told the Reuters news agency in New Delhi.
It is worth pointing out here that
India Pakistan relationship witnessed very tense moments and nearly going to war after a deadly suicide bombing of an Indian military convoy in South Kashmir Pulwama in 2019 was traced to Pakistan-based fighters that led to India sending warplanes to Pakistan.
The relationship fell to big low after Jammu and Kashmir autonomy was abrogated by the parliament in 2019 by Modi lead Government.
In recent past times the ceasefire achieved at the Line of the control has been seen as a big move forward.
Kashmir has since long been a flashpoint between India and Pakistan, both of which claim all of the region but rule only in part. The two countries have fought three wars over Kashmir.
What lies in coming months between the two big powerhouse of South Asia will determine the status of Jammu and Kashmir situation too
