Srinagar: Twenty seven persons including eight fresh visitors from Pakistan administered Kashmir crossed over to Line of Control through Karvan-e-Aman bus service, plying on weekly basis across the divided parts of Kashmir.
Officials said told KMW that eleven persons were on board the ‘peace bus’ when it arrived here and included eight fresh visitors from Pak, who arrived here to meet their relatives first time after separation during the Indo-Pak partition in 1947.  Three persons from this side of the divide also returned home after stipulated stay in Pak, they said.
The persons travelled from Muzaffarabad, the capital of Pak, to Chakoti, near the LoC in Uri town of north Kashmir. As a part of procedure, the travelers alighted from the bus and crossed the Aman Setu (Peace Bridge) on foot.
The cross-LoC bus was flagged off by Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in April 2005.
Six fresh visitors from this part of the Kashmir also travelled to Pak while 10 Muzaffarabad residents returned home after completing their 28-days of allotted stay here, they added.
