2 militants killed in ambush, encounter ensues at another place in south Kashmir

Srinagar, Aug 3 : Two militants were killed in an ambush security forces in south Kashmir district of Kulgam early this morning, while an encounter ensued in Shopian, where two security force personnel were injured so far

Lt Col Rajesh Kalia told News Agency that on a specific information about the militant movement security forces had laid down an ambush at Gopalpora, Kulgam, early this morning. However, when a group of two militants was asked to surrender, they opened fire, he said adding in the retaliatory action two militants were killed. Two weapons were recovered, he said adding the operation is over and the identity of the slain militants was being ascertained.
