Jammu , May 18 : At least two people were killed and five injured in separate road accidents in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir.
“Two people died on the spot and one sustained injuries when their motorbike , collided with a truck last evening in Samba,” police here today said.
The deceased were identified as Darshan Singh, son of Nanak Singh and Balvinder Singh, son of Paramjeet Lal, both residents of Ramgarh, Samba.
Meanwhile the critically injured was shifted to the district hospital from where he was referred to the Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu.
In another mishap, a car turned turtle near Nandini Morh after it was hit by an unknown vehicle here.
Four persons of a family were critically injured and they were shifted to Jammu hospital.
Injured were identified as Surinder Kumar, Sunila Kumari, Chirag and Heena, all residents of Bahadurgarh, Haryana.
Police have registered a case and started investigations while a manhunt is on to apprehend the absconding vehicle driver.
