Youth kidnapped killed in North Kashmir

Srinagar | Sunday, May 18 : A youth was kidnapped and later killed by unidentified gunmen in apple township of Sopore in north Kashmir district of Baramulla, official sources said here today.

They said gunmen kidnapped Abid Wani at Sopore and later shot him dead from point blank range during the intervening night of May 17 and 18.

The body of the deceased youth, who had received bullet injury in the head, was tied to a tree, they said.

No militant outfit has claimed responsibility for his killing, they said adding police has registered a case and initiated a massive hunt to nab the killers.
