Srinagar: Two more Kashmiris were among 127 pilgrims from India who lost their lives during the Hajj-201
2 in Holy Cities of Makkah and Madhina.
The hajj pilgrims from Jammu and Kashmir will start arriving here tomorrow for which the divisional authorities and State Hajj Committeee (SHC) have finalised all arrangements.
Reports received here from Central Hajj Committee (CHC) said that a pilgrim Ghulam Mohiuddin Bhat (64) and Raja Begum died at Minnah.
Highest number of 37 pilgrims from Uttar Pradesh have died during the pilgrimage followed by Kerala 20, West Bengal 11, Maharashtra 9, Madhya Pradesh 8, Gujarat 6, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Assam four each, Jammu & Kashmir, Bihar and Rajasthan three each, Jharkhand and Lakshadweep two each, Punjab, Haryana, Odisha and Madhya Pradesh one each.
An official spokesman said the family members of Hajj pilgrims, going to receive them are informed to collect the vehicle passes required for Airport entry from Haj House, Bemina, Srinagar one day before the arrival of each flight on production of cover number slip.
It is also informed that the first flight of Haj pilgrims shall reach here tomorrow at 1100 hrs.
