2 jawans injured in militant attack in Shopian: CASO launched

Srinagar, June 29(KMW) : Two Army jawans were injured in a militant attack on a patrol party in Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian district on Friday, official sources said.
The militants attacked the patrol party near Army Goodwill School at Ahgam in Shopian with automatic weapons, injuring two jawans. The security forces also retaliated, ensuing in an encounter.

Additional security forces have been rushed from nearby camps and a massive CASO has been launched to nab the militants, the sources added.

The operation was going on when the reports last came in, they said.
