Kargil, Dec 30: The 15-day training on basic ice hockey, basic skit, physical skits organized by Zanskar Winter Sport Foundation (ZWSF) in collaboration with Royal Enfield and LNP Leh, concluded today in Zanskar.

The concluding function was graced by the presence of Er. Punchok Tashi, Executive Councilor for RDD, Forest, and Information, LAHDC, Kargil, as the chief guest.

Students from various categories showcased the skills they learned during the 15-day training program. An exhibition ice hockey match was also played ending in a 1-1 draw between the blue and green teams.

While addressing the gathering, the EC congratulated the participants and Executive Members of ZWSF for their efforts to promote the winter sports in the region.

He assured the society of full logistical support from LAHDC Kargil and the administration. The EC also announced Rs 3 lakhs for purchasing equipment for the ZWSF.

Incharge SDM Zanskar, Mohd Hassan, Officiating Officer Commanding 13 BRTF, Army Camp Padum, SHO, BDO and Zonal Physical Education Officer Zanskar also attended the concluding function. The chief guest and other guests distributed prizes to students with outstanding performances.
