India, Dec. 30 — Get ready for a sensational treat as the multi-talented actress Rumana Molla is all set to dazzle us with her latest venture! The actress, known for her mesmerizing on-screen performances, is now stepping into the music world with her debut song ‘Patte’. The song is an emotional blend of soulful melodies and catchy beats, reflecting her unique artistic style.
The new song, titled “Patte” is about the idyllic nature of relationships in the beginning when every person tries to be on their best behavior as opposed to how our true nature and quirks reveal themselves with time and how they make us who we are. Those quirks and annoying habits ultimately become a part of what binds two people together, the acceptance of those rough edges and imperfections.
This song is beautifully sung by Dipakshi Kalita, and composed by the talented Anirban Kashyap, with heartfelt lyrics and a stunning music video directed by Rumana. Reflecting on the project, Rumana shared, “This collaboration with Anirban and this venture is by far one of the most exciting ones of my life. This has to be the most incredible team I have ever worked with. And I never thought I could write lyrics”.
In Aniraban’s words; “Patte” is more than just a song, it’s been a delightful journey, collaborating with Rumana, quite a learning experience. I believe one could have sung “Patte” better than Dipakshi, and the entire team elevated the song and took it to a whole new level.
Alongside Rumana, the video features supremely talented and dynamic actor Ayushmaan Sethi. Ayushmaan shared his heartfelt experience, “Patte” is my very first music video, and I couldn’t have been more thrilled to share the experience with my entire family. We all sat down together to watch it, and the joy and excitement in the room were truly heart-warming. The video turned out exactly as I had envisioned when my talented director, Rumana, narrated the concept to me. It’s wonderful, charming, and everything I hoped for. I’m so excited for everyone to see it and share in this journey with me! What made this project even more special was the opportunity to collaborate with the incredibly talented Rumana. While we’ve shared the stage as co-actors before, this was my first time witnessing her remarkable directorial skills. Rumana is precise, efficient, and boundlessly creative – a combination that makes her a natural storyteller (and as it turns out a gifted songwriter too!). “‘
Ayushmaan and Rumana’s chemistry on-screen is electric, bringing an emotional depth to the narrative of the video. Rumana Molla’s journey in the music industry is as dynamic as it is inspiring. Rumana has previously worked in movies like Pyaar ka Punchnama 2, Irada, Trial of Satyam Kaushik, Minimum, and Bawri Chhori. She has also starred on Web shows such as Life Sahi Hai, It’s Not That Simple, and Dev DD. Rumana has already made her mark in the industry, earning awards for her debut film Minimum, as a writer-director.
