Srinagar, Jul 15 :Â One policeman was killed and five others were injured when unidentified people hurled a grenade and fired at a police station in south Kashmir district of Kulgam.
Official sources said here this evening that unidentified persons hurled a grenade and fired at a police station at Yaripora in Kulgam when demonstration and stone pelting was going on at a distance. “Six police personnel, who were injured in the attack, were immediately taken to a hospital,” they said, adding one of them succumbed to his injuries at a hospital.
As many as 35 civilians, besides a policeman, have lost their lives in violent clashes in south Kashmir after protests broke out against the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) top commander Burhan Wani and two other militants in an encounter in Anantnag on Friday evening.
