Your jingoism is bane not boon:Inqilabi

Srinagar: Chief Patron Jammu Kashmir Mahaz-e-Azadi (MeA) Muhammad Azam Inqilabi Wednesday took notice of Indian Army chief’s statement of warning Pakistan.
In a statement here, Inqilabi said, “Pakistan founder M. A. Jinnah is spiritual guide of Kashmir liberation movement.”
“We consider Jinnah’s mausoleum a very sacred place. He was of view that not only Azad Kashmir but entire Pakistan is base camp of Kashmir struggle for right to self-determination. His principle on Kashmir was whether it remains independent or joins Pakistan is to be decided by Kashmiris,” he said.
He advised Indian Army chief Gen. Bikram Singh to have a look at history.
“In 1965 the then Indian Army chief Gen. Chaudhary had opened front in Lahore border. Soldiers of Field Marshal Ayub Khan retaliated and the battle was fought on Indian soil,” he added.
Similarly, Inqilabi said, Indian Army opened another front in 1971 in East-Pakistan.
“The result is today combined number of Pakistani and Bangladeshi armed forces is equal to Indian forces. Every conscious Bangladeshi loves the city of Islamabad like a true Muslim loves Makah and Medina,” he claimed.
MeA patron said on 26 Feb last year Farooq Abdullah’s statement that Afzal Guroo should be hanged was carried by various newspapers.
“In order to give him (Abdullah) a psychological rebuff and rebuttal I decided to jot down a will that if I pass away in a situation where Indian army continues to occupy Kashmir two flags will flutter atop my coffin —flag of JK Mahaz-e-Azadi and the national flag of Pakistan,” he said in the statement.
Quoting Kalhan’s 1149 AD book “Rajtarangni” in which he had said Kashmiris may be conquered by the force of spiritual merit but not by armed force, Inqilabi said Indian establishments prefers rule of gun in Kashmir.
He said India termed the killing of its two soldiers at LoC as “unpardonable” and “unacceptable”. “The same way we consider Indian Army’s war crimes in Kashmir as un pardonable.”
“How can we forget that Indian gun killed six lakh people here. Thousands of women were molested and instead of punishing soldiers they were provided legal immunity through draconian legislations,” he said.
Inqilabi warned of serious consequences if India didn’t budge from its “rigid” approach.
“Without wasting any further time India should withdraw its forces from Kashmir and allow Kashmiris to decide their fate themselves through referendum,” he added. (KMW News)
