Japan’s quake-hit Fukushima nuclear power plant has been hit by yet another explosion. Japan’s Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency said, an explosion was heard at 6.10 am local time today at the reactor No.2 of the plant. For the first time, some workers have been asked to leave the plant. Experts say that nuclear fuel rods inside the No.2 reactor are exposed above water by about 2.7 meters. That’s about half the length of the fuel rods. Earlier, 11 people injured in an explosion at the reactor No. 3 yesterday. But the container at the facility has not been damaged. Meanwhile, hundreds of bodies were found scattered across the north-eastern coastline bringing alive the horror of Friday’s massive earthquake of 9.0 magnitude and tsunami. About 10,000 people are belived to have been killed in the double disaster.
