Winter vacation extended in Kashmir due to cold

Srinagar: Winter vacation in all educational institutions upto middle classes has been extended due to cold, inclement weather conditions and accumulation of snow in far flung and remote areas in Kashmir valley.

Official sources said keeping in view the fact that several far flung and remote areas, including those near the Line of Control (LoC) remained cut off due to heavy snowfall this winter, it has been decided to extend the winter vacation till March 11 in all institutions, including private, up to middle class in the Valley.

The educational institutions were scheduled to reopen from March 1 after more than two months of vacation.(KMW NEWS)
