Politics is a game of dynamic changes within the realm of context and conditions. Jammu & Kashmir Polity has witnessed dramatic changes as in the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections BJP swept the entire Jammu and Ladakh Region while as People’s Democratic Party captured the electoral fort in the valley of Kashmir.
With Assembly elections in Jammu & Kashmir just a few months away, the realities look murky. Congress seems to be losing grip in Jammu & Kashmir, National conference despite in consolidation mode seems to be mentally prepared for containing loss rather than gaining any further ground, PDP is on surge , Independent Candidates and smaller parties seem to be in a mood to caste their own impression .One thing is oblivious that no party seems to be on firm pitch to make a loud claim that it will form government on its own, in between these murky realities the Jammu & Kashmir might witness impossible political equations getting possible and a coalition between the NC-PDP might be a reality as BJP with thumping number of seats might leave this only viable opportunity. Till election we would witness NC blaming PDP for being “B Team†of BJP and PDP blaming NC for being close partner of BJP to gain political mileage but post electoral scenario it seems that neither PDP will take a risk to join BJP nor will NC take such high political risk as any such overture can wipe out regional party from state polity.
After 2014 election results of Jammu & Kashmir one might witness an awkward, impossible looking NC-PDP coalition coming to fore a reality.
