Bangalore firm was asked to supply A/C box in advance, raising doubts over treatment Hyderabad: Did someone in the Sathya Sai Trust know that the spiritual guru would breathe his last soon?According to sources, the A/C -casket in which his body was placed for display for the three days after his death was procured on April 4, about 20 days before he was declared dead. The box was supplied by Bangalore-based Kumar & Co International.The A/C -casket, which was branded “VIP” in its product catalogue, was supplied to one Rajendranath Reddy of Puttaparthi for Rs1.07 lakh. The purchaser first contacted an agent of Kumar & Co sometime during March-end, seeking details for an A/C casket. Later on April 4, Reddy returned to the agent to confirm the order.Interestingly, hospital authorities and the doctors attending on him since March 28 continued to assure devotees that Baba was responding to treatment.
