Vyas chairs meeting to review progress under UDAAN

New Delhi, May 06 – Financial Commissioner, Planning and Development Department B.B.Vyas chaired a meeting here on Friday to discuss modalities to gear up the implementation of UDAAN scheme in Jammu and Kashmir.
A working level discussion was held between State Government, Ministry of Home Affairs Government of India and Udaan partners.
The meeting was attended by Joint Secretary Ministry of Home Affairs GOI, Principal Resident Commissioner New Delhi, Mission Director Udaan and Mission Director PMSS, representatives of NSDC, and some Udaan partners from Corporate Sector.
The meeting also reviewed the action taken for maintaining the record concerning the UDAAN scheme and progress made so far.
The meeting stressed on certain steps to achieve the target under the scheme including reaching out to the people and sensitising them strategically, holding of awareness camps at school & college levels, build up action plan with commitment and credibility, to evolve comprehensive tracking and monitoring system, set training modules which involve management skills like behavioural attitude and conduct of aptitude test.
The meeting was informed that a target has been set to reach out to Ten thousand youth in J&K during over a period of one year.
