In a clear voilation of the constitution values the Pulwama DC Baseer-ul-Haq Chaudhary, is not issuing the notification for Pampore Municipal Committee President elections. This despite the recent High Court Directions calling for conduct of elections, and Municipal act calling for elections within 3 months after passing of non confidence motion .
Malik Yaqoob Former Pampore Municipal Committee President stated that Pulwama DC is acting in an unconstitutional and arrogant manner by delaying the elections .
While talking to the Kashmir Media Watch he made it clear that in voilation of the Municipal act and recent high court Directions the Pulwama DC is abusing power and doing contempt of court and voilating all the constitutional norms by not issuing the notification for the Pampore Municipal Committee President elections. He termed it brazen voilation of law and rules .
The order issued by the Honorable Justice Ali Mohammad Magray on 1.06. 2022 ,with CM no 2814/2022 had called for conduct of the elections for the Pampore Municipal Committee President within the given laws despite that Pulwama DC is acting in brazen voilation of law.
Voices and legal acumen is urging on one and all to conduct elections to the post of Pampore Municipal Committee President post soon.
