VC IUST engages Student Council to Strengthen Dialogue on Campus Development

Awantipora, April 15: Prof. Shakil Ahmad Romshoo, Vice Chancellor Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), today met with the elected representatives of the Student Council emphasizing open dialogue, mutual respect, and the importance of student engagement in institutional development.

The Vice Chancellor commended the Student Council for their active involvement in campus life and reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to addressing student concerns. Discussions centered on academic facilities, student welfare, infrastructure, and upcoming university initiatives.

Also present were Prof. Ayaz Hassan Moon (Dean Academic Affairs), Prof. Abdul Wahid Maqdoomi (Registrar), deans, and heads of departments, who interacted with the students and addressed various concerns. The session was coordinated by Dr. Asifa Mehraj Baba (Dean of Students), the Student Council Chair, and Dr. Peer Bilal (Coordinator, Advisory Committee to the Student Council) along with his team.
