Various delegations call on Lieutenant Governor, Brig (Dr) BD Mishra in Kargil

Kargil, January 05: The Lieutenant Governor, Ladakh, Brig (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd.) was called on Saturday by several delegations from different areas of Kargil at Raj Niwas, Kargil.

Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil, Shrikant Balasaheb Suse and Senior Superintendent of Police, Kargil, Shree Ram R. were present during the meetings.

A delegation of residents from Hunderman Brok called on Lieutenant Governor urging Administrative Approval for a solar lift water system project for the village.

In this regard, the Lieutenant Governor talked over phone to Administrative Secretary, GAD, PWD(R&B), PHE, I&FC Michael M. D’Souza (IAS) who informed that the Administrative Approval for the project would be granted soon.

A delegation of SRTC/SIDCO employees called on the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor and raised the issue regarding the release of pending 43 percent of the 7th Pay Commission allowances. In this regard, the Lieutenant Governor talked over phone to Managing Director of SIDCO, Bhupesh Chaudhary (IAS) and directed him to examine the issue.

Feroz Ahmad, a representative of job aspirants also called on Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor urging syllabus modifications for KSSRB non-gazetted posts and age relaxation in the Sub-Inspector recruitment process. The Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor assured that the issues will be examined and action will be taken as per the established norms.

A delegation led by Vice President, Forestry Graduates Council Ladakh called on Lieutenant Governor and presented a memorandum of demands including reservation for forestry graduates in Range Officer Grade -I Post, exclusion of non-forestry candidates from reservation for Range Officer posts, restoration of 50 percent direct recruitment quota for the post of Assistant Conservator of Forest (ACF) and age relaxation up to 5 years.

While replying, the Lieutenant Governor directed Administrative Secretary, GAD, PWD(R&B), PHE, I&FC, Michael M. D’Souza (IAS) to examine the issue promptly. 

The Lieutenant Governor also interacted with various other delegations and individuals from across the district including officials of various departments and other individuals seeking financial assistance. He gave a patient hearing to all their issues and said that their genuine demands will be looked into as per norms within specific time-lines.
