Islamabad: An American spy aircraft fired missiles into Pakistan’s North Waziristan tribal region and killed at least four people early Friday.
The free-dawn attack targeted a house in Miranshah, main town of North Waziristan, killing four people and injuring several others.
There was no report about the identity of those killed. Some sources said the slain men belonged to a local Taliban group.
The latest strike of 10th this year. Nearly 80 people have reportedly been killed in these strikes.
The strike took place two days after two top US commanders met senior Pakistan military leaders.
Pakistani parliament is holding review of relationship with the US and the parliament committee on national security has called for halt to drone strikes. But the Friday’s strike shows that the US is not to stop the attacks.
