US CODEL led by Mac Thornbery calls on Omar

Jammu: The US CODEL led by Congressman Mac Thornbery this morning called on Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah here. Congressman Devin Nunes and two other staff members were accompanying Mr. Thornberry.
During the meeting matters relating to mutual interests were discussed. The Chief Minister briefed the Congressmen about the rich pluralistic traditions, heritage, culture and history of Jammu and Kashmir throwing light on the amity bonds between various communities prevailing in the State since centuries.
He also apprised the visiting US team of the new initiatives taken by the State Government for the holistic development in the State and empowerment of people at grass roots.
