US Ambassador meet CM, discuss K-situation

Jammu: US Ambassador in India, Timothy. J. Roemer Thursday called on Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah here and discussed political development, an official spokesman said here.He said that in an hour long meeting they discussed various issues pertaining to the socio-economic and political developments in the State.The issues relating to the dialogue process and efforts for restoration of permanent peace and tranquility in the State were also discussed in the meeting.The US Ambassador evinced keen interest in the new initiatives put in place by the Omar-led Government for speedy and equitable development in all the regions and sub-regions of the State, and for restoration of permanent peace and political stability in the State.
