Srinagar, September 10:  In what seems to be clear violation of the set protocols of Coronavirus pandemic, the premier Schools of Kashmir Mallinson School and Tyndale Biscoe School have opted for offline mode for golden test.

The students state that we all are aware of the fact that the offline golden examinations for classes 10th and 12th are being held by TYNDALE BISCOE SCHOOL and Mallinson . The moment the datasheet was uploaded on the telegram group every student was shocked because students were not expecting the golden tests to be offline in the present circumstances. The fear, stress and anxiousness of the students is completely reasonable and legit. There are certain considerable and valid reasons as to why the students aren’t willing to attempt the golden tests offline in these alarming circumstances.

The students are stating:

1) Everyone is aware of the major problem that has been holding us back from going to school for almost two years, i.e. coronavirus.

I totally agree that from the past 2 months the situation of covid-19 is getting better but it is not vanished completely. We have been asked to test for covid-19 before goldens and that is a good thing, but what if someone tests positive “during” the golden tests. As rapid test is valid only up to 48 hours. One thing is for sure that everybody who would’ve came in contact with that one lerson will panic and they can also be positive for the deadly virus.

2) The datasheet for golden tests was forwarded to us today i.e., 8th September 2021. The first paper of 10th class is on 21st September and that of 12th class is on 20th September. There are only 12 days for us to prepare, and this very short time for us be properly prepared for such an important exam. How are we supposed to revise all of the syllabus in such short notice? Moreover, the preparation holidays, how can u even imagine for a student to prepare everything for a paper in just one day?

3) Along with this, the cycle test 3 is still going on. We haven’t even submitted our portfolios and practical notebooks. We fail to understand whether we should do the cycle tests, portfolios, practicals or prepare for the golden.

Lastly, we request to please reconsider the decision of taking offline golden examinations and take the above mentioned reasons mentioned reasons seriously. The lives of students are becoming more and more stressful day by day. You cannot talk about mental health and do this to the students. This is completely wrong and unjust to us. So please i request the authorities to reconsider their decision and conduct the golden examinations online.

Important to mention here that school gave students warning that if any student will not submit the NOC we will not give him admission in school for next session
