Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir police claimed to have arrested two Lashker-e-Toiba (LeT) operatives, involved in twin blasts in Srinagar and Baramulla in August this year.
A police spokesman said a Special Police Investigation (SPI) team was constituted to arrest the militants responsible for the twin blasts at Batmaloo in Srinagar and Baramulla on August 25.
He said two Border Security Force (BSF) jawans were killed in Baramulla blast while there was no loss of life in Srinagar blast.
The special team probing the blasts succeeded in cracking the case by apprehending two LeT operatives Irfan Ashraf Dar and Ali Mohammad, both resident of Sopore.
During questioning, they revealed that Muza Molvi a Sopore based LeT commander had provided them grenades and had directed them to carry out grenade blasts in crowded markets.
Both have been handed over to Baramulla police for further investigations, he said.
