Srinagar: Two persons sustained bullet injuries after paramilitary forces opened fire at them in Zaldagar locality here on Thursday evening.
Two persons identified as Riyaz Ahmad Balloo of Feteh Kadal and Sajid Ahmad of Karfuli Mohalla, here was injured when paramilitary forces opened fire to disperse them near Zaldagar here this evening.
Locals told Agence India Press that police and CRPF personnel open fire before the Iftaar at 06:30pm in Zaldagar area without any provocations.
A police spokesman said that the forces fired tear smoke shells to disperse the stone-pelting mob there. However, they did not relent after which forces fired rubber pallets.
“The condition of both the persons is stated to be stable so far,” the spokesman said.
