Traffic Police issues new diversion plan in Srinagar

SRINAGAR, APRIL 20: Traffic Police City Srinagar today issued a new diversion plan for the convenience of commuters and to regulate traffic movement in the city.

According to the plan, which shall be enforced from April 21, all the vehicles coming from Abdullah Bridge shall take left turn towards New Era School and shall not be allowed along the Jhelum Bund from Convent Side.
It was said that the traffic on above said route shall be exclusively one way and no traffic in the opposite direction shall be allowed towards Abdullah Bridge. Besides, traffic coming from L.D and Jawahar Nagar shall follow one way traffic along Lal Mandi-Convent Bund and no vehicular traffic shall be allowed in the opposite direction.

The Traffic Department said that both the diversions shall be strictly one way and violators, if any, would be dealt under the relevant provisions of Motor Vehicles Act.
