Vijaypur: While addressing unprecedented mammoth crowd which assembled in One Day National Conference convention held at Vijaypur, Minister for Industries & Commerce Surjeet Singh Slathia today appealed the people to strengthen the ideology which has been symbol of National Conference and acceptable to the people throughout the State. He said that the towering personality of Sher-i-Kashmir Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah has imbibed spirit of brotherhood and secularism in our veins and in present times there are no two opinions that this is the only route which will help in maintaining peace and tranquility.
Political Advisor to Chief Minister Devender Singh Rana, Minister for Higher Education Mr. Abdul Gani Malik, National Conference Provincial President Rattan Lal Gupta, Bimla Luthra,MLA, Vijay Lakshmi Dutta, Panches and Sarpanches and other party workers of the area were present during the convention.
Addressing the gathering, Slathia appealed the people to extend their complete cooperation to the present Government headed by Omar Abdullah for overall and equitable development of all the parts of the state. He said that the coalition Government is according focused attention to vital sectors like, PHE, Education, power, R&B and Health and numerous reformative steps are being taken up in this regard.
Listing the notable achievements of the government, Slathia said that recently enacted Public Service Guarantee Act assures prompt and time-bound action and revolutionize the service delivery through the government departments to the public. Besides, the government has constituted State Disaster Management Authority to protect the people from natural and manmade calamities. He also threw light on reforms trenched in Education, Health and PHE sector.
Slathia also lambasted the PDP and BJP for unnecessarily criticizing the functioning of the government mere for sake of criticism and appealed them to rather, play a constructive role for welfare of the people. He also asked the people not to fall prey to nefarious designs of those who are inimical to peace and prosperity of the state.
While speaking on the occasion, Abdul Gani Malik said that the government is well aware of the unemployment problems among the youth and has launched a number of employment schemes like SKEWPY benefits encouraging the youth to go for self-employment ventures.
Devender Singh Rana also highlighted the development works initiated by the present Government for socio economic development of common masses in the state. He said that with the innovative programmes and policies of the government, the state has witnessed outstanding achievements during the three years on all fronts.
Provincial President Rattan Lal Gupta also highlighted the schemes launched by the Government for the betterment of the people in the state.
Mohammad Aslam Goni while addressing the convention also elaborated the achievements of the government registered during the last year’s in all sectors. He said that the achievements of the government speaks the volumes of the progress of the government which are quiet visible on ground.
Bimla Luthra, MLA, Vijay Lakshmi Dutta Provincial President National Conference Women Wing Rampaul, Mohinder Gupta, Mohinder Singh, Sajjad Shaheen, Ch Haroon, Chander Udhey Singh, Jugal Mahajan, S.Peter, Th. Bhagwan Singh and Capt. Tirath Singh also addressed the convention.
