Mulugu, Oct 18 AICC General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi said that for fulfilling the aspiration of Telangana people, Congress must come to power in the state.
Speaking at a public meeting called “Congress Vijaya Bheri” held here on Wednesday evening, She said that even though politically lose to the Congress, Ms Soniya Gandhi granted separate statehood of Telangana by respecting the aspiration of the people.
People expected to get social justice, employment, betterment of farmers’ life after Telangana statehood. But it was not fulfilled by the BRS. Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi always thought about long term benefits instead of political benefits. Congress allocated several national institutes for the long term benefit of the state. Congress made a road map for the development of the Telangana. to fulfill your aspiration, Congress came to power, Priyanka said.
She alleged that the BRS and BJP merged.BRS remote in the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. BRS looted the state in the form of land mafia, Sand mafia, liquor mafiya. Priyanaka alleged that the BRS leaders looted thousands of crores of worth lands in Ranga Reddy district. Budhan lands were also grabbed after removing them from online. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao cheated the people by saying that making the state as Bangaru Telangana (Golden Telangana). She also criticised the 18 portfolios in the hands of KCR family. Backward Class representing 50 per cent of the state population but representing only three ministers in the cabinet.
Priyanka said that the Congress had demanded to calculate census as per caste wise to do justice to the Scheduled Cast, Scheduled Tribes and Backward Class. without knowing their population how to do justice to them, she questioned.
Former AICC president Rahul Gandhi said that These elections are between the Telangana of the aristocrats and the Telangana of the people. The Congress gave assurance to grant Telangana in 2004 and granted. KCR gave several promises but not fulfilled them. He promised to allocate three acres to each dalit family but failed. He also failed to fulfill double bed-room hours and waiving of crop loan upto Rs one lakh. But Congress fulfilled all promises in Congress ruling states.
In Rajasthan, Congress government extended free medical facility to all the people upto Rs 25 lakhs. It is a wonderful scheme in India. Chatishgarh government purchased paddy by paying Rs 2,500 per quintal. It is high in the country. In Karnataka, the Congress government extended free transportation for women. Women also get Rs 2,500 every month on their accounts. Congress always stands on its wards.
Criticising BJP, Rahul said that the BJP lost its address in Telangana. BJP aspiring to win BRS in Telangana.So both parties are working together. To defeat Congress, BJP, BRS and MIM came together mikalath. “If you voted BRS it will cost the BJP” Rahul said.
