Thousands of devotees assemble at spiritual site of Tujar Sharief Faqir-i-Milat,

Tujar Sharief: Today thousands of devotees assembled in large number from morning to evening at holy shrine of Hazrat Sheikh Baba Ali Raina (RA), elder brother of Sultan-ul-Arifeen, Mehboob-ul-Alam, Sheikh Hamza Makhdoom Kashmiri in Tujer Sharief, Sopore. It was one of the largest and historical gatherings held so far in Tujar Sharief. People from adjoining villages and other parts of the valley had assembled to witness and be part of the historical and holy occasion when amidst Darood-u-Azkar the renowned religious scholars of the age of above 100 years, Faqeer-i-Milat Hazrat Peer Mohammad Yaseen Suharwardi Sahib laid foundation stone of new structure of holy shrine of Baba Raina.
At the time of laying of stone, he was accompanied by chairman, Hazrat Makhdoom Trust Peerzada Shahid Jeelani Makhdoomi, Khawaja Renzushah, Chairman Bulbul Shah Trust and Director Information, Jinab Ghulam Mohammad Shah, President, Intizamia, Hazrat Ali Baba Shrine, M. Sultan, Secretary, Er. Afaq, Trustee Chairman, Khawaja Garib Nawaz Trust.
It was emotional and spiritual atmosphere when thousands of young, old, women and children were jointly participating in Darood-u-Azkar.
Earlier, one of the most largely attended congregation the Ulemi Kiram, scholars, intellectuals and well known personalities heads of various education institutions and chairman of various shrines highlighted the contribution of holy saint Hazrat Sheikh Baba Ali Raina (RA) and contribution made in the entire sub continent by Hazrat Sultan-ul-Aarifeen who was one of the holiest spiritual leaders of his time.
The Tujar Sharief has the honour to be the birth place of Hazrat Mehboob-ul-Alam the actual birth place of this great son of the soil is still preserved. The father of Sheikh Hamza Makhdoom, Baba Usman Raina and the mother Hazrat Bibi Maryam (RA) are also buried in Tujar Sharief and thousands of devotees visit their shrines as well.
The congregation was addressed by Peerzada Makhdoomi, Renzushah, MLA of the area, Haji Mohammad Ashraf Ganai, Ex-MLA, Haji Abdul Rashid, Er. Afaq Chisti, Nisar Ahmad Mandu, Maulana Ghulam Hassan Rahimi, Atiqa Bano,
President S. M. Ashraf, G.M. Shah, Secretary, Mohammad Sultan Makhdoomi addressed the function.
The Deputy Commissioner, Baramulla, Mr. Bashir Ahmad had earlier visited the site and the officers of district administration including SDM, M Ahsan Mir, Tehsildar, BDO were also present.
The MLA, Haji Mohammad Ashraf Ganai apart from paying Rs. 11000 for construction announced Rs. 2 lakh in a first phase for development of heritage site whileas ex-MLA, Haji Rashid paid Rs. 21000 on the occasion also promised for playing vital role in ensuring the timely construction of the new shrine.
Well known Sufi devotee and social worker, Atiqa Bano presented Rs. 11000 and the rare manuscript to the Makhdoom foundation in the memory of Hazrat Baba Ali Raina (RA).
All the speakers unanimously emphasised for mutual brotherhood, unity and advised new generation to get acquainted and educated about the highest contribution of Sufi saints, Aulia Kirams of Kashmir not only in the valley but for entire humanity of the world.
