The Drug addiction is a severe problem confronted by humanity and it has reached alarming proportions in a place like Kashmir, where few decades back we didnt had this problem on this magnitude.

Parents need to play a key role by communicating with their children’s and understanding the challenges in life they face. They also need to monitor the phones of their kids so so as to check their online activities as today’s online world is full of negative things.

While we at administration are trying to increase the rehabilitation centers for those who have fallen prey to drug addiction more needs to be done on public private partnership basis especially to increase the quality rehabilitation centers for those who are under influence of drug addiction.

If left unchecked drug addiction can play a havoc and destroy our entire new generation.”

On Coronavirus third wave the ADC believes we need to follow Standard operating procedures quite religiously. “Despite decrease in daily number of cases of Coronavirus people of Kashmir should not turn lethargic and keep on using masks and maintaining distance as this is pandemic situation and can turn ugly anytime. During the harsh second wave administration has been able to gear up and take to new levels the Coronavirus treatment facilities especially the all important oxygen supply. People also need to leave immediately whatever vaccine hesitancy they have so that we can successfully overcome this pandemic situation.”

On being asked about ensuring people friendly administration, Dr Syed Hanief Balkhi , ADC  stated ” We are always trying to ensure that pain and problems faced by masses on ground are solved quickly and they don’t have to come time and again to visit offices . From Revenue to Health department entire wheels of the administration are geared up to resolve quickly the issues faced by the masses and no lethargy in this regard is being tolerated. Making the Government offices public friendly is the way ahead to ensure efficient governance. We all need to take a vow to be honest in our lives so that we can create a society that is full of positives. Honesty is the corner stone of every civilisation.”
