Successful Transanal Stapled Surgery workshop held by Sgr Police Hospital

JAMMU, Mar 15 KMW): A workshop of Minimal Invasive Procto-Haemarroidectomy (MIPH) known as Transanal Stapled Surgery for piles was organized by Police Hospital Srinagar today, in collaboration with Johnson and Johnson India Ltd.
The workshop was attended by Dr. Irshad Ahmed Kuchay, Surgeon and Dr. Baljeet Kour, Anaesthetist of Police Hospital Srinagar along with Dr. Ajay Misri, Surgeon from Police Hospital Jammu, under the proctorship of Dr. B. B. Agarwal, Sr. Consultant and Professor Department of General and Laparoscopic Surgery, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital New Delhi.
The procedure was performed on four patients of piles and all the patients are recovering well.
Giving the details about the successful workshop, the Medical Superintendent Police Hospital, Dr. Mohammad Shafi Koka expressed his gratitude to supporting faculty and team of doctors. He appreciated the doctors of Police Hospital for their efforts and encouraged them to achieve further excellence in the field of advanced surgery.
He also appreciated the efforts of Dr. Bilal Raja, who extended his helping hand in organizing the workshop, besides the role of Theatre and para-medical staff of the Hospital for their prompt and praise worthy assistance.
Further, Dr. Koka disclosed that earlier doctors of hospital had performed various surgeries including Cancer Surgery, Hepaticojejunostomy, Open Prospatectomy, Hepatic Hydatid Cystectomy and now the doctors are focusing to achieve successes in other fields.(KMW)
