State-Level Capacity Building Workshop on “Our Collaborative Efforts Towards Development” Held at NIELIT Leh

Leh, February 25, 2026: A State-Level Capacity Building Workshop for the development of a comprehensive Capacity Building Plan was successfully organised at the National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT), Leh, under the theme “Our Collaborative Efforts Towards Development.”

The workshop was jointly organised by the General Administration Department Ladakh (GAD Ladakh), the Capacity Building Commission, and iGOT Karmayogi, with the objective of strengthening institutional and individual capacities across departments in the Union Territory of Ladakh.

The programme brought together senior officers, department heads, and nodal officers to deliberate on strategies for identifying competency gaps, aligning training needs with organisational goals, and developing a structured Capacity Building Plan tailored to the specific requirements of UT Ladakh.

Resource persons Uzair Simnani, State Nodal Officer, Ladakh, and Zainab Naaz, Program Coordinator from the Capacity Building Commission and iGOT Karmayogi, highlighted the importance of continuous learning, digital training modules, and competency-driven human resource management under Mission Karmayogi. They also provided insights into the use of the iGOT AI-Driven CBP Tool V2 for preparing structured and data-based Capacity Building Plans. Emphasis was laid on integrating competency frameworks and data-driven approaches to enhance governance and service delivery.

During interactive sessions, participants engaged in discussions on best practices, collaborative planning, and the roadmap for implementing the Capacity Building Plan across departments.

The workshop underscored the significance of coordinated efforts and shared responsibility in achieving sustainable development and improved public service outcomes.

The event concluded with a reaffirmation of commitment by all stakeholders to work collectively towards building a skilled, responsive, and future-ready workforce in Ladakh, in line with the vision of transformative governance and development.

The workshop was attended by Deputy Secretaries, Under Secretaries, OSDs, and concerned clerical staff of the UT Secretariat, Ladakh.
