Former IG CRPF Kashmir SS Sandhu is likely to be appointed as the advisor to the Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Girish Chandar Murmu, as sources indicated.
Having security, administration and bureaucracy acumen of Par excellence, SS Sandhu has played key role in ensuring peace all through and for more than five years worked in projects in Kashmir valley motivating the people to come forward and participate in large number in the election process.
He played instrumental role in smooth conduct of last Panchayat elections and recently concluded BDC elections especially in the volatile belt of South Kashmir.His efforts bore good results in sensitive districts like Shopian, Kulgam etc.
The teams lead by Shri Sandhu have been working in projects in difficult interior areas such as Palhallan, kokernag etc.
