Srinagar-Jammu NH closed due to snow

Srinagar: The 300-km-long Srinagar-Jammu National Highway was closed since early this morning following snowfall and slippery road conditions.
A traffic police spokesman said here today that the Highway has been closed due to snowfall between Qazigund and Banihal, including Jawahar Tunnel.
He said the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) has pressed its men and machines into service to through open the highway.
Decision to allow traffic on the Highway will be taken only after receiving green signal from the BRO and traffic police officials deployed on the Highway.
