Srinagar, July 29 : A teenage girl from South Srinagar area of Natipora, ended her life during the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday by hanging herself at home.
Officials told news agency that an 18-year-old teenage girl from Azad Basti, Natipora Srinagar hanged herself to death at her home on late Tuesday night.
When the family members spotted her hanging from a ceiling fan, they immediately rushed her to Shri Maharaja Hari Singh Hospital (SMHS) Hospital, where doctors declared her brought dead.
Officials at SMHS hospital said that the girl was brought to the hospital; however, she had already died.
Police, after registering the case in the concerned Police Station, under sections related to suicide have initiated investigations into the facts that led the young girl to end her life.
