SMC Commissioner calls on Governor

SRINAGAR, MAY 13(KMW): Mr. Tufail Mattoo, Commissioner, Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), called on Mr. N.N. Vohra, Governor, here at the Raj Bhavan today.
Mr. Mattoo briefed the Governor about the to-date status of various activities being carried out by the SMC, which included sanitation drives, solid waste management, ensuring food safety, granting building permissions etc.
The Governor advised Mr. Mattoo to effectively enforce all required measures which would improve the face of Srinagar and contribute towards further enhancing its standing as being among the leading tourist destinations in the country.
