Srinagar: A Sikh group today appealed to migrant Kashmiri Pandits to return home, saying that “no force” can stop them from coming back to the state.
“No one can be more happier than the Sikhs… We will be the first to receive them at Jawahar Tunnel (the gateway to Kashmir) if they decide to come back,” All Parties Sikh Coordination Committee chairman Jagmohan Singh Raina said in a statement.
“No force can stop them if they take this bold step, which in my opinion will be the biggest victory over communal forces and anti-Kashmir elements,” he said.
The Sikh leader asked the people to help in rebuilding a strong economy and educational system in the Kashmir Valley, and help in resolving the dispute related to Kashmir.
