Sibtain Shah assails setting COVID center in Ganderbal

Ganderbal, May 20 :Prominent Youth leader of Congress & State Secretary Jammu & Kashmir Youth Congress Mohammad Sibtain Shah has shared the concerns of Residents of Duderhama for being up in arms against district administration over Covid isolation shifting to the residential area.

Sibtain shah observed that DC Ganderbal is committing life threatening negligence to the local residents for shifting Covid positive patients to the CUK, science campus Duderhama which was formerly the district hospital premises.

“The Coronavirus is grim problem facing people and this premises is located within the heart of densely populated Duderhama village and bringing in Covid positive people from across the district will pose a severe threat to the local population”, Sibtain observed.

On the other hand, he stated that district administration has got many options with the isolated locations like GCOPE, Govt Degree College, MMC Wayil, MMC Watlar, Sainik School available for creating Covid isolation wards. But still DC has shown utmost negligence and incompetence by deciding to shift Covid isolation ward to CUK Duderhama campus, locals said.
Mohammad Sibtain Shah remarked that the local men and women are in mode of agitation.

He made it clear plan of shifting the said isolation ward to old hospital premises which is presently CUK Science Campus has received serious resentment from the local population of Duderhama.

He hoped issue would be resolved soon as per wishes of masses.
