Shutdown in Kashmir against Tosmaidan Occupation

Srinagar, April 12, (KMW): In view of the strike call issued by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq Chairman APHC (M)  against the ‘lease extension of Tosamaidan meadow ‘ on Wednesday, a complete shutdown is being observed in all the parts of the Kashmir Valley. Meanwhile, curfew-like restrictions were imposed on Saturday by the authorities in Downtown area of Srinagar in order to maintain law and order.
Reports reaching to Kashmir Media Watch said that Police and paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) are deployed in strength to enforce restrictions on people’s movement in Old city and other areas. (KMW)
