Shiv Ratri symbolize state’s pluralistic ethos: Dy CM

JAMMU: Greeting people on Shiv Ratri, Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Tara Chand said Shiv Ratri celebrations by one and all in the State symbolize unique age old tradition of pluralistic ethos and mutual co-existence in the State. He said these ethoses go a long way in strengthening bonds of love and brotherhood between various sections of the society.

Mr. Tara Chand said this while addressing Shiv Ratri celebrations at Brahma Kumaris ashram, here today. He was chief guest on the occasion.
Speaker, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Mr. Mohammad Akbar Lone was present on the event.
The dignitaries hosted flag of the ashram and symbolic candles were lit. A bhajan program was also organized on the occasion.
Director, Brahma Kumaris Raj Yogni Behan Sudershan ji gave spiritual discourse and detailed about activities of the Ashram. The mission is spreading its message of spirituality, since last seventy five years through its branches running in over 133 countries worldwide, she described.
Lauding role of the Ashram, the Deputy Minister said Brahma Kumaris through its various educational and religious courses is doing a great service to the mankind by spreading the real message of spirituality in all nooks and corners of the world, adding that by spreading the light of spirituality the world is being led from darkness to inner peace and enlightenment.
“Festivities of Shiv Ratri in the State have crossed all precincts of religion, caste and creed, as everybody joins in the celebration which symbolizes the real message of spirituality and universal brotherhood,” he added.
Mr. Lone said that world today is in need of such organizations that spread the real message of humanity, peace and brotherhood. Global peace is only possible when every individual finds peace within himself, he added. (KMW NEWS)
