Shinde pays obeisance at Charar-i-Sharief shrine

Srinagar: The Union Home Minister,  Sushil Kumar Shinde today visited the shrine of revered Sufi Saint, Hazrat Sheikh Noor-ud-Din Wali (RA) at historic Charar-i-Sharief town and paid obeisance.
Mr. Shinde was accompanied by the J&K Minister for Finance and Ladakh Affairs, Abdul Rahim Rather, President, PCCI, Saif-ud-Din Soz, Minister of state for Home,  Nasir Aslam Wani, Chief Secretary, Madhav Lal, and Director General of Police,  Ashok Prasad.
Mr. Shinde paid obeisance and prayed at the mausoleum of Hazrat Sheikh-Noor-ud-Din Wali (RA) and prayed for peace and prosperity. The Mujawirs of the shrine, as a mark of respect, performed traditional Dastar Bandhi of the Home Minister and other dignitaries.
Mr. Shinde was greeted by the people and pilgrims present at the shrine and shook their hands with him. Mr. Shinde reciprocated in the same spirit.
After coming out of the Shine complex, the people in long ques were eager to have a glimpse of the visiting dignitary. The total atmosphere was surcharged with enthusiasm and the crowd of the people, in a moment, turned into a public gathering.
Speaking to the people, Mr. Shinde said it was his keen desire to pay obeisance at the Hazratbal Shrine and the Shrine of Sufi Saint, Hazrat Sheikh (RS) who has always preached peace and love.
Responding to the demand of the local youth regarding on-the-spot police recruitment drive at Charar-i-Sharief, Mr. Shinde said that he will consider to hold on-the-spot recruitment drive in the Para Military Forces, which comes under his charge.
Mr. Shinde spent about fifty five minutes at Charar-i-Charief.
Mr. Soz also spoke on the occasion and assured the people that their demands will be fulfilled
Senior officers of the Police and civil administration including Additional Director General of Police, Law & Order,  K. Rajendra, Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Dr. Asgar Samoon, Deputy Commissioner, Budgam,  M. Akbar and SSP Budgam were also present. (KMW News)
