Seven killed, five injured in Kashmir

Srinagar: Three members of a family were among seven people killed and five others injured in different road accidents in the Kashmir valley overnight. A police spokesman said here today said a Maruti car skidded off the road near Sanginard, Simthan-top, Daksum Road, Anantnag, and fell into a deep gorge, resulting in on-the-spot death of four people.

The deceased were identified as Bashir Ahmad Khari(45) his wife Noor Jahan (40) and son Sharaft Ali Khari (15) and Mohammad Qasim Deedad (60).
A threewheeler was killed on the spot and four others were injured when two vehicles collided at Nayi Basti in Anantnag district. They were admitted to a hospital.
One Imtiyaz Ahmad Khanday was injured when he slipped and fell from a passenger vehicle at Kulgam in south Kashmir. He was immediately shifted to hospital where he was declared brought dead.
He said a teenager Parviaz Ahmad Gonchi was killed on the spot when he fell down from a tractor at Akhal in Ganderbal.
A vehile hit and injured a minor girl Harmat at Shilwat in Bandipora district. She was hospitalised.
