Srinagar: September 06: The Jammu and Kashmir, People’s Political Party (PPP) Chairman, Engineer Hilal Ahmad War, in a special message for the Pakistan’s Defence Day, paid rich tributes to the Pakistani martyrs of 1965 War. While paying tribute to those brave souls, PPP Chief stressed for unity among different political parties and sects in Pakistan in order to make Pakistan democratically, economically and militarily a strong and stable country. He said that “the 1965 Indo-Pak War has created a glorious chapter in history of South-Asian region and has a historic significance in the History of Pakistan.
The Pakistan, Air Force, Army and Navy had rendered historic bravery while combating the aggression of India. The bravery exhibited by Pakistani Citizens of Punjab and Sindh has also set an example in the history of Warsâ€. PPP Chief maintained that a strong and stable Pakistan is the key to peace, security and stability of entire South –Asian Region.
War said the bravery exhibited by the Pakistan’s Defence Forces and its citizens have not only has thrown challenge to anti-Pakistan Forces but also anti –Kashmir forces. “The anti-Pakistan and anti-Muslim forces in the world never wanted to see a Pakistan a stable country ,that is why they connived with various forces within the Pakistan to destabilize Pakistan , said Engineer Hilal Warâ€
The PPP Chairman, said the Pakistan was facing different challenges and was passing through a critical phase. He appealed to the people of Pakistan that they should rise above regional, racial and ethnic prejudices and considerations and unite together in the direction of national and emotional integration because such a course could only save Pakistan from external conspiracies aimed at disintegrating the country once again like December 1971.
He said that September 6 was the day for paying homage to the martyrs who laid down their precious lives for the defence of Pakistan. “People of Pakistan must pledge that they will defeat all internal and external enemies by demonstrating bravery and unity as they did in 1965,†said War .
He said that a strong Kashmir Policy for realization of right of self-determination for struggling people of Jammu and Kashmir was and is the source of inspiration for the political and armed activists of Kashmir Liberation Movement. PPP Chief urged the Government of Pakistan to formulate a Kashmir Policy in accordance with the letter and spirit of Z. A. Bhutto’s Kashmir Policy. He said Z.A. Bhutto’s Foreign Policy can save Pakistan from disintegration and destabilization. He disapproved any idea of showing any flexibility by government of Pakistan with regard to settlement of Kashmir Dispute.
Mr. War said Negotiations are the most satisfactory means to resolve disputes since the parties are directly engaged and impressed upon Govt. of India to give diplomacy a full chance to find out ways and means to settle Kashmir Dispute in order to avoid Nuclear War. “In order to prevent the South-Asian Region from erupting to the prejudice and detriment of the global peace the long-standing Kashmir dispute urgently need to be solved amicably within the framework of fundamental Human Rights and justice to the concerned struggling people. In this connection the PPP’s Roadmap containing 3 Point Formula advocated by our party since August 10, 1996 is the only tunnel to reach the goal and destination of peace and human-brother -hood which shall in turn ipso-facto close the doors and chances of Atomic War, said Engineer Hilalâ€.
