RAMBAN: Muslim Personal Law Board in collaboration with Seerat Committee Maitr Ramban organised a one day Seerat –un-Nabi conference here today.
The Seerat Conference was held under the chairman ship of Mufti Azam, Mulana Mufti Mohammad Bashir -Ud-Din Ahmed who is also chairman of Muslim personal Law Board of Jammu & Kashmir .
Minister for Higher Education, Labour and Employment Mr. Abdul Gani Malik was the guest of Honour on the occasion
A galaxy of Muslim Ullmas including Mulana Abdul Rashid Daudie, Mufti Sayed Ahmed and Mulana Noorani Sahab spoke at length on the Islamic teachings and enlightened the listeners with the Seerat-e- Pak of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH)
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Abdul Gani Malik, stressed upon the Muslim Ullamas to spread the message of peace among the people that is fundamental to Islamic teachings. He also advised the parents of Muslim community to make their wards well versed in Islamic teachings side by side the worldly education for making them good human beings and ambassadors of world peace and prosperity.
Mufti Azam Mohammad Bashir -Ud-Din, in his Presidential address expressed deep concern over the growing corruption, drug addicting and other social evils in the society and stressed the need for a retrospection to free the community from these ills.
Mufti Azam also expressed his desire for strict implementation of Muslim Personal Law by the courts. In this regard Mufti Azam impressed upon the lawyers of the community to ensure that all cases coming in the ambit of Muslim Personal law are dealt by the court accordingly.
The Conference was attended by a large number of devotees, besides the heads of various religious social and political organisations.
The eminent scholars, Ullamas and the Intellectuals in their speeches stressed the need of following the teachings of the Prophet Mohammad PBUH in maintaining brotherhood and communal harmony among different sections of the society.
President Seerat Committee Maitra Mushtaq Mughal, Secretary, Umarali, Cashier, Mohd Rafiq and Mohd Arif Bhat were the organisers of the conference.
