Secy RDD finalises Mobility Plan for BDOs, ExEns, ACPs and ACDs

SRINAGAR, MARCH 27: Secretary, Rural Development Department and Panchayati Raj, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary today discussed formulation if comprehensive Mobility Plan for field officers including Executive Engineers REW, Assistant Commissioners Panchayats, Assistant Commissioners Development and Block Development officers for effective monitoring on ground.

Dr. Shahid emphasized the importance of providing adequate mobility support to field officers, ensuring effective service delivery at the grassroot level, public outreach and administrative inspections which are quintessential for planning, monitoring and implementation rural development. He underscored the department’s commitment to address the pressing need for improved mobility infrastructure for officers, particularly in remote and underserved areas. He expressed confidence that mobility support to BDOs will lead to further improvement in their performance.

Furthermore it was also decided to conduct a review of availability of drivers in the department and the vacancies to be filled through both recruitment and promotion.

Director Rural Development Kashmir, Shabir Ahmed Bhat and Director Rural Development Jammu Mohammad Mumtaz Ali also informed about the mobility plans devised for respective provinces and shared views on endeavours of the department to empower BDOs for effective service delivery.

Secretary in RDD, Tariq Ahmed Zargar, Director Panchayati Raj, Sham Lal, CEO DDKUY,  Rajnish Gupta, Director Finance, Umar Khan, Joint Director Planning Kamal Kumar Sharma,  Additional Secretary,  Waseem Raja, Tabish Saleem, OSD Mission Youth  and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
