Security officials to brief OBL commission: sources

ISLAMABAD: The commission probing the American operation against Osama bin Laden in Abbottabad would hold its first official meeting on July 11, Geo News reported.
According to the sources, security officials will brief the commission during the meeting to be held on July 11. It was also decided during the first session of the meeting that the commission would have the authority to speak to concerned individuals directly. The members of the commission might also visit Abbottabad if the need arises.
Extradition of Osama Bin Laden’s family has been restrained and the commission would also quiz the family, sources said.
Today’s session of the commission was headed by Supreme Court’s senior judge, Justice Javed Iqbal at the Cabinet Division, Islamabad. Retired Lt. General Nadeem Ahmed, Former I.G Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Abbas Khan and former diplomat Ashraf Jehnagir Qazi attended as members while Federal Secretary Cabinet Division Nargis Sethi was present as the secretary of the commission.
Justice Javed Iqbal while addressing the commission said that the investigation process would be free and transparent, sources added.
