SDM Drass conducts preparatory meeting ahead of bad weather

Kargil, Jan 01: In view of upcoming prediction of snowfall and bad weather from 2nd January 2025 onwards in areas of Ladakh, SDM Drass today conducted a preparatory meeting with officials of all line departments of Sub Division Drass.

The meeting was attended by AEE Jal Shakti, AEE PMGSY, Officials of Mechanical, R&B Department, BMO, SDH Drass, JE PDD, TSO Drass, TSO Bhimbat and OIC 55 RCC Drass.

SDM directed all officials to be ready for upcoming weather prediction and ensure that essential services shall not suffer during snowfall.

OIC 55 RCC assured that BRO shall ensure connectivity on Minamarg-Kargil axis on priority and shall try to clear snow on Zojila axis once weather improves. 

AEE Jal Shakti briefed the chair that Jal Shakti Department Kargil is tendering two water tankers for emergency purposes for Drass Sub division.

The SDM directed AEE Jal Shakti to ensure that tendering for water tankers shall be done on priority so that the public shall not suffer.

BMO Drass assured that adequate supply of essential medicines are available. SDM directed BMO to check attendance of staff of all CHCs and PHCs.

The Mechanical Engineering Department was directed to ensure connectivity of all link roads on priority. All the officials were directed to work in close liaison with each other so that the public shall not suffer.
