With a red ’tilak’ on his forehead, a downcast Sanjay feebly waved to fans and mediapersons, and walked to his vehicle to go to the court.

On Wednesday evening, a stream of Bollywood celebs including Abhishek Bachchan and Salman Khan, visited Sanjay Dutt at his residence on Wednesday night to express solidarity.

There are reports that the Mumbai Tada court, in view of threats to Sanjay Dutt in Arthur Road central jail, may order that Dutt be lodged in Nashik Central jail.

Topmost on the list of worries for Sanjay Dutt is poor sanitation, stinking pillows and summertime mosquitoes inside the cell.

Upon arriving in court, Sanjay Dutt will be handed over conviction slip, after which the court will prepare a warrant with details about the jail where he will be lodged.

Dutt will then undergo fingrprinting, given a copy of the warrant, a copy of the judgement if available, a remission sheet , list of property belonging to him and a list of duties, bedding, etc. He will then undergo a body search and will be allowed to wear civilian clothes while being shifted to jail.

Sanjay Dutt, according to reports, is likely to serve the 33 months of his imprisonment in Nashik Central Jail. If the procedures are completed fast, he will be taken straight to Nashik, otherwise he may have to spend the night in Mumabi’s Arthur Road Central Jail.
