Sagar tours Ganderbal: Inspects health institutions, reviews stock, supply of essential, restoration of roads

SRINAGAR: To address the peoples’ problems at their door step the Minister for Rural Development, Panchayati Raj and Parliamentary Affairs, Mr. Ali Mohammad Sagar, who is also Chairman District Development Board; Ganderbal conducted an extensive tour of Ganderbal to review the arrangement being made by the district administration to combat the situation arising due to heavy snowfall. Appreciating the district administration for restoring all important roads and link roads on war footing, the minister directed the concerned to ensure snow clearance in and around all health institutions and other important installation also.
The Minister toured Zakura, Dudarhama, Khanpeth, Gund Rehman, Kacchan, Tilwari, Narayan Bagh, Peer Mohalla, Dar Mohalla, Sindhbal, Dab, Wakura, Badampora, Goripora, Ripura, Tehsil Bagh, Karuhama, Khayanhama, Nagbal, Tilbagh and other adjoining areas of the district. Besides assessing the snow clearance operation in these areas he inspected sale outlets of CAPD at Kachhan, Sindbal, Dab, Wakura and reviewed availability of food grains and other essentials for consumers in the district.
Earlier, the Minister inspected various health institutions of the Ganderbal district including District hospital, Ganderbal, PHC, Wakura and PHC Kachhan. Mr. Sagar inspected OPD, Casualty block and other important units of Ganderbal District Hospital and interacted with patients to enquire about the health facilities being provided to them. The hospital authorities and patients demanded round the clock electricity supply to the hospital. The minister directed the PDD authorities to ensure round the clock electricity supply to the hospital.
The Minister also addressed public gatherings at many a places during his tour of the district and reaffirmed his government’s commitment for providing basic amenities to people. (KMW News)
